Cost of being left behind by the Albanese Labor Government since May 23, 2022

Year 00, Day 00, Hour 00, Minute 00, Second 00

How much a JobSeeker recipient on the base rate has been left below the Henderson poverty line:

-$00

Taxpayer money siphoned to privatised job agencies (many of whom are Labor party donors):

$00

How much Bill Shorten has been paid in excess of the Henderson poverty line:

$00

Rather than listen to the desperate pleas of a dozen disability orgs in response to his failed attempt to gut the NDIS, Bill Shorten instead decided to launch a cheap stunt where he’s waxing lyrical accusing other politicians of being out of touch with the brutal cost of living crisis facing millions.

That’s a bit rich coming from a cabinet minister in the same Albanese Labor government which has repeatedly ignored advice from its own advisory committee to raise income support payments and lift welfare recipients out of poverty.

Who's really out of touch with the cost of living, Bill? Are YOU facing homelessness, malnutrition and medical destitution? Enough with your cheap stunts and attacks on disabled people. Get back to work and #RaiseTheRate you cowardly shit! #NobodyDeservesPoverty

Authorised by the #EveryoneLeftBehind committee, Australian Unemployed Workers’ Union. No public funds or staffer salaries were wasted in the making of this cheap stunt.
